Channeling Life to Singapore Arts
Artery is the “Y Combinator” for artists in Singapore — an independent nonprofit for artists to build sustainable practices.
/ Our Manifesto
Art is the heartbeat of culture. Just as arteries carry oxygen to sustain life, Artery channels resources, opportunities, and support to ensure that Singapore’s artistic ecosystem thrives.
At Artery, we believe that art should not just exist; it should thrive, inspire, and be a vital part of everyday life. We are here to empower artists, uplift audiences, and build a self-sustaining ecosystem where creativity fuels a lasting impact.
/ Why It Matters
Art fosters empathy, sparks conversations and shapes identity. Yet, many talented artists lack the infrastructure to turn passion into profession. Artery is here to change that by ensuring that artists have the resources, platforms and audience they need to flourish.
You are not just funding art. You are sustaining a lifeline.
/ What We Do
Providing artists with essential business support, curatorial guidance, funding and presentation opportunities so that they can focus on their art-making.
By partnering corporates, we systematically integrate and encourage engagement with Singapore art in corporate environments and meaningful public spaces, ensuring it is widely seen, valued and collected.
Linking artists, patrons, and institutions in a shared vision where art is not just created, but sustained, appreciated, and invested in.
/ The Missing Middle
Why
Many artists in Singapore are not lacking in talent, but they face challenges in sustaining their practice over time.
How
Supporting the arts today requires both public and private capital to work together — not just to enable creation, but the continuity of artistic practice that builds Singapore into a culture-forward society.
What
Artery focuses on the “missing middle”, acting as a complementary layer to public funding infrastructure to support high-potential artists between milestones so they can sustain and grow their practice over time.
/ Key Programmes

This 12-month + 4-year programme builds a tribe around the artist that provides intentional nurture for practice growth. From curatorial guidance, business support to stipends and workspaces, the AAA is an unmatched opportunity for Singapore artists to thrive. There are two planned open calls each year. Information will be published on our website and social media in September and March.
How the accelerator works
Art thrives in societies that value culture as infrastructure. For art to thrive, it needs the space to be nurtured, seen and experienced. Our patron programmes are designed to encourage philanthropic and corporate participation as a means to expand the visibility and appreciation of Singapore art and artists in meaningful spaces.

(Coming soon) Helping promising artists become sustainable also means building a regenerative cultural economy. This art-focused impact fund seeks to invest in Singapore art and cultural projects that have the potential to travel. When projects become culturally viable, profits are returned to support other artists. Over time, this enables a thriving and culture-forward Singapore that combines public infrastructure with private funding.

/ Accelerator Process
Swipe to move through all seven steps.
Shortlisted artists are interviewed to determine suitability for the programme.
After committing to pieces for acquisition, the business director and head curator build a mutually agreed 12-month work plan with the artist.
Based on the artist’s career track and work plan, Artery allocates and sources resources to support their goals.
The junior curator checks in bi-weekly; the head curator checks in ad hoc, depending on the artist’s progress.
The curatorial team seeks gallery and institution partners for showcases aligned with the artist’s progress.
The team evaluates artistic and career growth annually for the next 4 years.
Artery matches and sponsors high-performing artists to suitable overseas residencies.

Data visualisation Installation Community-driven projects
Joanne Lim is an artist interested in translating and visualising data collected through long-term, community-driven projects. Her practice explores how data and lived experiences can be transformed into aesthetic forms, working across a range of media to address contemporary social and political issues — particularly surveillance, hierarchy, and power.
Her work has been presented at FOST Gallery, Mirrorball (2026), ART SG (2025, 2026), From Palais to Pulau, Penang, Malaysia (2025); SOUP, Tenthaus and Critical Craft Collective, Bergen, Norway (2023); EASTEAST_Tokyo2023, Science Museum, Tokyo (2023). She is a recipient of the Winston Oh Travelogue Award in 2022, 2024, and 2025, received the inaugural Asia-wide Art Futures Award in 2023, and was nominated for the Takifuji Art Award in 2024.

Installation Moving image Printmaking Painting
Koh Kai Ting is a socially engaged multidisciplinary artist and curator whose practice spans curating, installation, moving image, printmaking, and painting.
Kai Ting’s work addresses socio-political issues through the lens of natural history, employing it as a metaphor to construct visual narratives that critique societal norms and power structures. Deeply committed to community engagement, she collaborates with various groups to reinterpret economic narratives and explore themes of desire, power dynamics, and systems of value.
She has received several notable awards, including the Malaysia Emerging Artist Award (2019) and First Prize at the UOB Painting of the Year Malaysia for Most Promising Artist (2018).

Painting Sculpture Mixed media
Rofi creates paintings and sculptures grounded in an ongoing interest in the human condition. In his works, the human face and figure act as vehicles for exploring issues related to identity, spirituality, society and politics. He draws out the vulnerabilities of his subjects, utilising texture and colour to reveal latent emotions beneath the surface.
He has exhibited with the Singapore Art Museum, Maya Gallery and The Substation (Singapore), as well as Agora Gallery (New York) and Galeri Chandan (Kuala Lumpur). Rofi’s works have been collected by the Singapore Art Museum, as well as various private collections internationally, including the Burger Collection.

Ceramics
Shayne Phua uses the medium of clay to narrate stories and cast a critical eye on everyday realities, drawing on history, myth and literature to reflect on the world around her.
Phua observes the forms and functions of utilitarian objects, using her distinctive style of ceramics to explore oral traditions, folklore, historical anecdote and socio-political ideologies. In a world increasingly flattened by social media and cultural homogenisation, her practice foregrounds the local and often overlooked.
In 2019, Phua was an Artist in Residence at Zentrum für Keramik in Berlin and Guldagergaard International Ceramic Research Center in Denmark. Most recently, she held a solo exhibition with Yeo Workshop.

Assemblage UV print on steel Performance
Siew Guang Hong is an interdisciplinary artist. He utilises biology and anatomical investigation to propose new ways of understanding non-normative subjectivities. Using assemblage and ‘abject aesthetics’, he develops posthumanist modalities to queer autobiography and absurd obliteration.
Siew has exhibited artworks at AMP Gallery (London); Pulse Gallery (Bangkok); Richard Koh Fine Art, Art Outreach, Supper House, starch, Sculpture 2052 (Singapore), and Institute of Contemporary Art Singapore; and has performed in Singapore Art Museum.
Notably, he was the winner of the 2024 LASALLE Award for Academic Excellence, and received the Winston Oh Travelogue Award in the same year.
