Who can apply

The AAA is currently only open to artists based in Singapore. You must be a Singaporean, Singapore permanent resident or hold a valid work visa in Singapore.

What the form asks for

    3 Artwork Samples

    Artwork title, year, medium, dimensions, price, artwork description (100–200 words)

    Website, online portfolio, social media, etc.

    Application questions

    Questions on artistic practice, exhibition history, present needs as an early-career artist, goals you’d like to achieve during the AAA

What we assess in applicants

Active Practice

Sustained visual art practice for the past 2 years, minimum

Public Engagement

Making deliberate efforts to make your work accessible to an audience

Portfolio

Artistic voice, technical proficiency, creativity and visible development between work samples

Career Goals

Clear articulation of what you would like to achieve during the AAA

Long-term Benefit Potential

Whether your needs and goals align with the support we provide, and the likelihood AAA can create a sustainable long-term impact for your practice

Openness & Readiness to Engage

A keen interest in learning, collaborating and engaging consistently during the programme period

Interview (in-person / online) with curators and CEO for shortlisted applicants

Assessment panel

30 minutes

Interview with the Assessment Panel (in-person & online) for shortlisted applicants

AAA Cohort announced

6Up to 6 artists selected per cohort

The programme begins

  • A living stipend of up to $2,000 per month

  • Artery to buy works from AAA artists up to a specific quantum

  • Full business, legal & marketing support

    Based on mutually agreed work plan

  • Curatorial mentorship

  • Artist is expected to set goals and follow through with work plan

And beyond

  • Chance to be sponsored for selected overseas residency programmes

  • Allocated annual curatorial hours

  • $10,000 credits for Business, Legals or Marketing

    Valid for 4 years
